While Arizonans struggle to make it through record heat and a global pandemic, big energy companies and their executives are making millions by penalizing customers for using electricity when they need it most.
It is time to elect leaders who will fight for clean air and water, lower utility bills, address climate change, and transition Arizona to a clean energy economy to encourage economic development and create jobs.
ARIZONA’S CLEAN ENERGY FUTURE IS ON THE BALLOT THIS YEAR
The Arizona Corporation Commission is responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and affordable utility services (including reviewing and approving rate increases). The Corporation Commission also has regulatory oversight of pipelines, securities, and railroads.
Arizona is one of only a handful of states where voters elect these officials!
Democrat Anna Tovar is a former state legislator who has dedicated her life to improving Arizona communities and currently serves as the Mayor of Tolleson, Arizona. For too long, the Republican-controlled Corporation Commission has failed consumers. Anna Tovar will fight for the interests of all Arizonans -- not big energy corporations.
Democrat Bill Mundell is a former Corporation Commission Chair who paved the way for renewable energy standards in the state. Arizona is the sunniest state in the nation and could be a solar energy leader. Mundell is the champion we need to help address climate change and transition to a clean energy economy to encourage economic development and create jobs.
Democrat Shea Stanfield is a former educator who understands that our health is reliant on a healthy environment. Shea Stanfield will fight for Arizona’s clean energy future.
